The forum is full of pictures already
Before i decided which 3D printer to buy i searched in the internet to get
an overview. I also visited this forum and mainly looked for prints
The question - what to expect from a K8200 printer and is it worth to buy?
I admit the pictures in this forum were not very promising because they are
based on addons for the printer like z-Motor holder, different kind of fans,
extruder, lights etc. Things not taken care of for looking nice
Here to add - you can find really nice prints but you have to search …
Myself i decided to buy this printer because of time. I’m now in this
almost two months - since Christmas. For this free days off from work i wanted
something to clean my head. Unfortunately other printers had a very long
delivery time but a K8200 was available. So in the opinion to get just something
quickly but will be not very useful - i bought the printer.
Since then i learned many things based on the help from this forum
I’m very greatful for all the tips and good advices and i’m still in the
process of learning.
The missing section for good print examples makes it maybe hard for anyone
who is still in process of decision. I can understand why there are attempts
to find any sort of comparision when you have done your first print.
To make it short - in my opinion the K8200 printer is excellent and worth the money
3D printing is an art which you have to learn regardless which printer you will buy
The way how you use the tools, the different setting you can make and any
addon you make for the printer - this all you have to learn and do over time.
Here are some pictures for your help
Most quality issues are based on software settings. Of course software can have bugs
Just this week i found a bug in Cura 14.01 (not from Velleman) and opened an issue
on their side https://github.com/daid/Cura/issues/728
It will be fixed in next release

Here are few print examples after the E3D-V6 head upgrade.
And my first 2 colored print
And the rest of the images and video as well.
Do you see a real big difference between the original and the E3D-V6 hotend ?
What did you change to put this new hotend ? only support ?
And about the configuration of slic3r ?
Otherwise, which E3D-V6 version have you buy ?
thanks
I think prints are slightly better, but not that much you would expect, but this is print with 0.4mm nozzle and I still have 0.25mm to test.
Slic3r settings you can find here on forum, there was someone else that put his slow print settings which I’m using.
Nothing needs to be changed, you need to print fan and radiator holder from kurasu and connect everything in the same way as you have it right now. The only extra thing is that fan needs to be always on, but you can take power from the board.
