I had the correct temperatute reading of the bed (30°C=Room temperature - I know!!!).
After calibrating Z-axis the temperature was displayed as 17°C and the maximum heating temperature was reached at 34°C (touched the bed, tt was very hot). I guess, somehow the Thermistor was broken. So I resoldered it. After this, the temperature reading was 0°C. and it has a infinite resistance. I need another one and want to order quickly from conrad.
What form is it? 0603? What temperature coeficient t needs? 4252K?
My colleague will contact you as soon as possible via e-mail to resolve your issue and send you a new part.
But for reference and if you want to buy the part yourself it has these specs:
Thermistor NTC 100K SMD 10% 1206 3950K
(this one: nl.farnell.com/epcos/b57621c104j … p/679550RL)

Oh, Conrad has not these… Okay, then I will wait for your colleague mail. Thank you!
Folks!
If somebody requires a bed termistor let me know I’d to order 10. If you need a replacement I’m willing to send them for free.

From where do you send them?
I guess “Location: Vienna”, so it could be from Austria if I’m right.
Hope, the replacement will be there monday, so I can start to print.
@huebsch: did you already got these thermistors? I would like to pick up one for reserve.

That’s correct I’m from Vienna Austria, you may contact me via Arnold@Huebsch.at

Hi,
can someone do me a favour and send me one too? How much will it cost including shipping (to Germany)?!
I broke mine by bending the bed to get it more flat… Bad luck.
Mail your postal address - I send it for free it’s not worth the effort to charge you the few cents…

I also broke my heat bed thermistor while trying to level it out by bending. Since Conrad doesn’t sell the same exact one, which thermistor I can buy at Conrad’s would be equivalent to the one used in the K8200? I’d rather buy it there instead of ordering it somewhere, I can’t wait to print something!
Thanks!
Hugo
PS: Why are there two different kinds of thermistors in the printer? Since it seems to be a cheap part it would be good to have a few more as spare parts in the set… just an idea.
It is not really a ‘cheap’ part en both NTC’s have completely different specifications and outlines.
I tried to use the printer without the NTC but the heat bed wouldn’t turn on. Is there any possibility to print without the feedback by the NTC?
You could replace it temporary by a resistor.
you can delete the set heatbed temperature in the Gcode. Then the printer will not use the heated bed and you will be able to print normally.
example:
This:
G21 ; set units to millimeters
M107
M190 S50 ; wait for bed temperature to be reached
G28 ; home all axes
G90 ; use absolute coordinates
G21 ; set units to millimeters
G92 E0
M82 ; use absolute distances for extrusion
M109 S190 ; wait for temperature to be reached
G1 E10 F400 ; prime the nozzle
…
becomes this:
G21 ; set units to millimeters
M107
G28 ; home all axes
G90 ; use absolute coordinates
G21 ; set units to millimeters
G92 E0
M82 ; use absolute distances for extrusion
M109 S190 ; wait for temperature to be reached
G1 E10 F400 ; prime the nozzle
…
Hi,
In the moment my heatbed temperature is displayed to low.
(its round about 10°C to low)
I checked thad with an digital thermometer.
Thanks to VEL327 and VEL417, I made both changes and could print my first part.
@eytec: I noticed the same after my NTC broke. You should check the NTC by unsoldering it. If it is still one piece, it should be good. I only noticed it’s broken when I unsoldered it.
After desoldering the Thermistor mine was broken too.
The new one works fine, thanks, support. Maybe you did not noticed, but you sent me TWO envelopes with one themistor in each.
Anyway, my first printing was now done, a pawn chess figure. Some outer rings fell down, but that is a minor issue. I noticed that one of leveling thumbscrew fell off while printing and also the Z-motor End signal screw changed its position. But otherwise the printer is great!
What Ohm should the resistor have to not damage the bed or the Controller-Board?
Greets
There is no risk to damage the controller board.
At 25°C, it is approx 100K

Thx alot
I´ve already filled sent the “Missing Parts Request” and now i´ve to wait.
