Z motor microswitch question for Velleman!

I have set up my machine all OK, except that the Z motor Micro-switch does not just stop the Z motor; instead it sends it briefly (head moves a couple of mm) into reverse. The X and Y both instantly stop their respective motors dead. Is the Z meant to briefly reverse the motor? Ie, is this normal?
