when i first finished installation everything was working fine, all the axis were moving in correct direction, but i had lot of space between bed and extruder so after i fixed the spacing issue and connected back with repetier, z axis won’t go down anymore when pressing -Z, when i press home for z axis it goes up instead of down.
what i have tried so far
tried swapping cable with x axis , does same thing won’t go down, up only
reinstalled repetier
Hi
Check the Z end-stop for loose connexions, bad contact… The end stop is normally closed and opens the circuit when hit. If the circuit is open the motor only goes in one direction : away from the end stop.
Remove the Z end-stop connector from the mainboard and check with your multimeter if it’s working properly.
I switched the switch with x stop and it goes down, when I put it back like it suppose to be it doesn’t go down and on the log in repetier it’s give me message about z ends top hit as soon as I press home or down so it does look like it’s thinking button is pressed all the time.
You definitely have a problem with your Z end-stop. Check the wiring and if it’s OK then it also can be a bad contact at the connector.
thanks for the help, it was wiring problem, solder came off on positive connection from switch, re-soldered and good to go.
