i recently bought and assembled the k8200 (my first ever 3d printer). Everything i did was according to the manual except the y axis placement. If i want to control the axis via repetier host the z axis is vibrating, but if use the home function it works normally. to search for the error, i resolderd the z axis and i exchanged the stepper motor driver. now i dont know further…
Are you homing the axis before you try to use it?
Could you post a video of it?
Im sorry to write so late but i wrote the thread at like 13 pm and went afterwards to bed (central europe). I cant send you a video because im currently at work… When im at home i send it to you.
The error occures either if i home the z axis first and then manual control or first manual control and then homeing.
When you set the reference voltage on the drivers did you set the to 0.425 of 0.5?
0.5 is the sweet spot do not go over 0.6 this will make the driver over heat and do stupid things.
the voltage is set to 0.5
this is the video btw: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Aky0xdCf6DbEqBtjYcTtlGhKeX9g
Have you changed the firmware?
If you did which version of the Arduino software did you use?
You should not use anything over 1.0.6
You can download it from here.

Hi @Fl3xi,
thanks for the video. Just to be sure: have you really tightened the screws there? Cause I made a similar mistake when I assembled mine:you really need to screw those two black bolts very tightly.
