en_016 – WIRING THE Z AXIS MOTOR AND MICRO SWITCH
016/20
States:
Solder the 2 wires from the connector to the 2 wires of the flat cable you tinned earlier. Watch the colours closely.
Flat cable -> Connector wires
Red -> Red
Brown -> Brown
We cut the RED wire off the 3 terminal connector at 016/16 which left us with a Connector wires BROWN and ORANGE so the above cannot be performed.
Also, it seems the board Connector Pin for the BROWN Wire is an open circuit (not used pin), should the wire that is required to be cut off at 016/16 be the BROWN one?
The whole step is in error, please investigate.
If you cut the center wire (red) you should be ok.
Just use the orange instead of the red.
You will see this in the pictures as well.
Thank you, I had figured that out and thought as it was only sensing the micro switch, no damage could be caused. The HOME button works OK on all directions. All my directions except Y work fine, Y just vibrates. Still investigating.
You should check the wiring on the Y motor
Also adjust the reference voltage to 0.55 for all of the motors
The voltages are quite unstable on all modules.
Changed the X and Y Motor driver modules over and the fault changed to the X Motor
so the Y Motor Driver module was at fault. Went to my supplier and they replaced the whole unit and all is well. into the calibration phase and all is going fine.
