Yihaaa!!! After a number of failed prints (where I have found that I really hate Buildtak!) it seems that my Vertex is now printing the Vertex logo! And it looks good! :slight_smile:

I havn’t received my spare Iglidur bearing (I received a broken part, but Velleman has sent me a replacemnt already) but I superglued the broken one and hopefully it will last until I receive the new one. :wink: I already love PLA; I am used to ABS but I can’t stand the warping which is virtually impossible to get 100% rid of.

There seems to be a little backlash in the x-direction, but I must admit that I was kind of in a hurry to finish assembling it, so that’s probably my own fault; it seems I need to adjust the tension on the x-stepper belt a little.

Tomorrow I will see if I can find a heated bed to install onto this printer. The number of failed prints really shows on the buildtak; for most of them I needed to use a screwdriver to peel it off… :frowning:

I also think a heated bed is a must have for easy printing. Sticks well when hot, falls of when cold, easy :slight_smile: And does not require replacement after a few prints in comparison with buildtak. I’m also waiting to see what bed people will build in on the vertex :slight_smile:
