I would like to now if is normal that only the Y axe the plexy wall is a little bended when I tight the end caps.
I mesured the with and deep of the Vertex, and I notice that is 1mm longer on the y (deep). Seems that the case is not a square. All the walls are perfectly alligned.
Is not so easy to see from this picture, but there is a gap between the two walls.
It’s not that critical, but you can fix the issue by cutting or grinding away the small nub inside the END CAP pieces (in the center). With time this nub will eventually wear down anyway.
Thank you for the fast answer, that reassures me that is everything normal
Hello AlmAck,
i used to much force for assembling Vertex case walls. Then i wanted to start my Vertex 3d Printer but it was not functioning right. I tought maybe the alu pulleys is reason for this behaviour. But then i got the idea to untighten all the screws (Counter ClockWise 2 full turn). After doing this my Vertex 3d Printer started to work like a charm…Only for your information…
Regards
Niyazi
thank you niyoki, my printer works very good, my question was to make sure to not damage anything in the long term. I think there are lot of tollerances in the mechanics, but I’m very happy of the overall build quality of the vertex.
