Y-Axis: Loud noises and not much movement

Hey everyone! I hope someone can help.

After a lot of work I finally completed the build of my K8400. I noticed right away that the Y-Axis was a bit funky. It made a lot of noise when I Auto Homed it, then I did the X-Axis movements and it was fine, and the Y-Axis movements were noisy and barely any movement on the print head. Once the print head was near the halfway point towards the front of the printer it started to move normally with no issues. I started to move the Y-Axis back and forth until eventually there was almost no issue at all.

I was able to print the Vertex Logo Keychain fine after.

I started today to print something slightly bigger and noticed some slipping and killed the print. Then I started to troubleshoot.

I checked that the belts weren’t slipping on the pulleys. I swapped out the stepper motor with another one, I re-aligned the y-axis rods, I tightened the stepper motor belt, I loosened the stepper motor belt

I’ve recorded a video so you can see what’s happening - anyone have any ideas what I need to do?

Hi.

It’s a typical misalignment. You’ll have to realign the whole thing.

I’ve explained the procedure in the Wiki.
