After many terrible prints, I’m trying to print a calibration single walled square. The first few layers go as planned, but then for the next few layers the Y-Axis fails to have the strength to pull the bed all the way. This either offsets the layer, or shrinks the Y print until it’s printing only along the X line. I’ve increased the Y voltage to .55 with no affect. Any ideas?
When the K8200 first came out the firmware monitored the end stops.
If the end stop had a bad solder joint it would trigger a false hit because the wires for the Y axis would slide against the frame.
If this is the case for yours cable tie the wires so they don’t stick out and check the solder joints.
Velleman has also released new firmware that stops the monitoring after the printer starts.
You should reload the firmware as well.
Thanks all. After rewiring everything and a lot of effort, I found the issue. The screw on the motor shaft gear had come loose. Wow, wish I figured this out weeks ago. Prints are now coming out awesome! Love this printer.
