I have the K8400 about one week. The printer works fine. But one dag i desided to messure all the axes. That was not verry precise. By those cirumstances, i decsided to remove the engines including the cables. Later when i adjusted the axes, i replace the engine back in the printer. I started the printer but one cable was not conected properly so i conected the cable sercurely. The printer was on at that time. And now my Y ass doesn’t stop by the sensor when i set him in the home position, but he go’s aproximetly 10mm back from the sensor. But according the printer, he is in the good position. This happen all the time when i set them in the home position. And now i can’t print. I have already update the filmware after this problem.
Can you post a picture of the pulleys near the end stop? As it is possible that one of the pulleys sits to far on the rod and thus preventing the carriage to home properly.
I have already found the problem. The sensor was dirty. because of this the sensor sees nothing or in other words the printer thinks he is already in his home position. When the printer thinks that, he goes 10mm backward, now i understand it. I clean the sensor and everything works fin again. The 2 bands that sit in one pully causes dirt. Becaus its wears out.
