X-axis shifting

Hello!

My X-axis of my vertex K8400 shifts very quickly in each print. I checked the pullies, but they all are tight. They are secured with two set screws each, and they are not loose. I have tried multiple levels of tighness on my belts, but it all doesn’t make a difference. What should I do next? I am leaning towards a faulty motor, but I don’t know…

What should I do?

UPDATE:

I did a total realignment, it did help solve the x-axis issue, but now the other axis shifts (y-axis)… I had one loose pully because one thread was stripped, but after making sure it is tight again still getting the problems.

Yup… the pulleys slip… midway test print they came lose and screwed with the alignment.

Hi,

Have you the 2 screws pulleys? With 2 screws they shouldn’t slip.

If needed, check the Wiki for the alignment procedure.

i have the new pulleys, I did the alignment procudure twice alredy but still getting problems. I noticed that the x axis linear rod for the tube bearing (not iglidur) is pretty stiff… do i think that is the problem at the moment

There were some reports of rods varying in diameter and bearings too narrow (but in that case you usually can’t get the rod through it).

I had to tap the rod with a small hammer to get it loose the first time… So i think there is the problem
