I just clued in when i was doing calculation to upgrade the power supply. the wires for the heated bed are not rated for the amps being pushed trough it. has anybody had issues or just simply upgraded the wires out of being concerned? Or am i missing something in my thinking about rated wires and amps being pushed trough it
I have been running my K8200 (stock wiring) for a few years now without any issue.
did you take in consideration that there are 4 wires used per pole.
anyways just like wrong way no problems on stock hardware/wiring
yup spot on mutliple wires per pole. Its been a super long time since i built it. so i had not taken apart yet for the bed upgrades, realized my mistake when i saw it all soldered together. still ended up swapping it for 1 thicker wire properly rated. iv never liked the idea of flimsy wires running across the entire frame
Agree on that one. Will do the same when i’m going to upgrade the power supply.
Don’t really like those flimsy either. But it does the job for now
