Windows7 detects PCSU1000 but PCLAB2000SE does not?

I am trying to run PCLAB2000SE v4.05 on a Windows7 Ultimate machine and have installed the pcsu1000_driver_2_04_16 all from the website, and Windows claims the device is working properly, driver up to date, etc, yet the PCLAB2000SE v4.05 software will not recognize or detect the PCSU1000 USB device. But Windows does detect it. Is there a fix for this?

You may try following:
Remove the PCSU1000 driver. - Please also select the check box “Delete the driver software for this device”.
Then unplug and plug the PCSU1000 and install the driver.

This procedure of removing and re-installing PCSU1000 drivers as indicated does nothing. Windows 7 still detects the PCSU1000 Oscilloscope and reports its functioning properly, but the oscilloscope’s application PCLAB2000SE fails to communicate with it. Now, the PCLAB2000SE Application DOES detect the unit, I can plug & unplug the USB cord and the “USB Device Detected” check box on the Welcome Screen checks & unchecks. But when I click OK to begin the application, I get the “No Hardware Response!” window. So… maybe the PCSU1000 is defective?
So… maybe the PCSU1000 is defective?
Yes, this may be the case.

Thanks… The company I work for bought it maybe 3 years ago and then didn’t use it so I’m just now opening the box and plugging it in. Bad out of the box then. US$400. And likely out of warranty? So… is there anything I can do to fix this unit? Hopefully something simple?

Here some more info how you can check the PCSU1000:

There are instructions how to repair some hardware problems and how to check if the data in the EEPROM of the PCSU1000 is corrupted and how to fix it.
