Dear Ladies and Gentleman,
when I start my PC with connected VM110 Windows XP SP2 hangs up on booting. When I unplug the USB-cable the startup works fine. After booting I’m able to connect and work with the board.
I would like to use the VM110 for a automatic tracing process (SMS alarm for our fire-fighters). It is necessary that the VM100 works automatically when the PC is restarting / rebooting.
best regards

I don’t know if this will help, but some of the newer PC’s support booting via USB. You might want to disable this feature in your BIOS settings. Just in case.
Hi there,
My PC restarts fine with the VM110 plugged-in.
Try the following:
- Plug the interface into another USB port
- Plug the interface into another system and try to reproduce the same problem
- Take in account what VEL448 suggested
- If you know your way around the BIOS, try other things like disabling USB legacy support
- Reset the BIOS settings, if nothing else works
If it still doesn’t work, and it works in another PC with the same operating system, then welcome to the computer world. There are only so many things I’d try before formatting the whole system just to confirm that it works in most PCs with a clean installation.
