The Wifi connection to my PC is quickly established, but when I shall connect the app, it shows an error. I have tried all the three proposed options for IP-address, and also tried some variants of 192.168.1.*. The port is always set to the default 2000. I have also tried to turn off the ordinary Wifi in my house. Result: no connection!
Did you update your wfs210 with the new firmware?
If you have the old firmware please enter the following IP address 169.254.1.1
