Why does the board connect to A5?

In the diagram I can see the board is connected to A5? Does anyone know why? This is actually a problem for me because I was suppose to use A5 for something else… Can I remove the R9, R10 and C3 to disconnect the board from A5 or will this introduce other problems? Otherwise I assume I have to make a cut in the PCB?

Aparantly it is connected to the power supply trough that pin. You could most likely move it to another pin, but if the pin is connected to an I/O of the Arduino, then you will need to change the code.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I really appreciate it because I need to deliver this to a customer.

Anyway I believe I understand it now. Pin A5 is intended to be used to monitor the voltage level. I would like to suggest that in future versions of the board this pin is mappable to A0-A3 (and not A4-A5) in the same way the other pins are mappable today.
