Why 120VAC relay on velleman vm142?

I have recently buy a Velleman 142PLC modul. When i oppened the box i was verry disapointed to see that the relay only function with max 120VAC. Whay did they not use a little bigger model who works with 220V so we can use it to turn on a 220V lamp for example?
Thank you!

Altough relay is rated for 120VAC, unit is specified for 24VAC/DC max.
This decision has been made for safety reasons.
For 230VAC switching, you will have to use an external relay.

Thank you for the answer!
