Please can you tell me from where I can download above mentioned file? The location as it is mentioned somewhere in the forum (www.veleman.be\download…) is not working anymore.
I just received a new VM201 card and think it is really remarkable that I don’t get the newest version but need to do all kind of things in order to update the card.

For those skilled with command line tools, there is an image file available to upload to the VM201
Download the image file: VM201Build1315.bin
http://www.velleman.be/downloads/files/downloads/VM201Build1315.bin
Go to the Windows command prompt and upload the image with tftp:
Code:
tftp put “VM201Build1315.bin”
You may need to install tftp via the Add/Remove Windows Features
This will only work on Windows

Just a quick remark regarding the firmware version:
Items are shipped with the firmware version that was ‘known good’ at time of production.
However, I’m sure you’ll understand that we do not have the means to recall all items that have been shipped to our distributors, every time there is a new firmware version. Users are able to update the cards themselves and the updates are free. I guess nobody should have a problem with that?
Thanks very much for the explanation. No, I do not have that much problems with your explanation. However, I am wondering why the version 1315 firmware is not available at the download section of the VM201 on the Velleman site. Secondly, last April Velleman reported that they were bussy developping a kind of update tool for the VM201 (I guess one which works under windows and/or other OS’s); is this development still underway? I don’t mind that much, I succeeded to update my VM201 to 1315 build by using the tftp functionality in the command (dos) environment.
The 3D printer is taking a lot of resources, but the VM201 is scheduled to have an upgrade tool for Windows and improved firmware.

I’ve been to Sweden and met many of your countrymen at international events all over the world. Never met a Swede who wouldn’t manage English as good or even better than me. So “from Sweden” means “can communicate” to me (I’m originally German, BTW)

At the moment of writing this seems to be VM201Build1342.bin .
