What is the new firmware LED option for?

Hi all,
referring to the change log of the new firmware, there is an option to do something with the LED stuff.
Questions:

  1. what can I do with it (switching LEDs I guess)
  2. what kind of LED can I use to use it
  3. where are the connections on the motherboard.

I got some old LED stripes from my sons PC, the 12V stuff

This is intended for coming soon RGB led bars and driver board for the Vertex.
It will allow you to turn on/off and select a colour manually or via gcode (e.g to change colour when print job is done).

but put some price info to it, since a new PCB would be needed…
And the ETA of this improvement.
