What is Screened Wire ?

It’s about K6002 Temperature Sensor.
Page 9 on webpage (pdf): http://www.velleman.eu/downloads/0/illustrated/illustrated_assembly_manual_k6001_rev2.pdf

There is written: ‘Connect the transmitter … using a piece of screened wire.’

This drawing is shown:
There’s no connector to connect the shield. Connecting it to the casing isn’t shown on the drawing either.

Is this a shielded wire, or just a 2-wire cable?

Hi,

It’s sheilded cable.

Hope this helps.

This is what I suspected. But why doesn’t it just say ‘shielded’?
Velleman, if it’s shielded wire, just says ‘shielded’ will you!
But do I leave the shield unconnected?

Deze uitleg stond er nergens in het Nederlands bij.
English isn’t my mother tongue and although this is mostly not a problem, sometimes a synonym is used which I didn’t encounter before. I used the word screened before, but not in this way.
In school we learned English, but we didn’t learn technical English.

I’ve added the following website to my favourites: http://www.synonym.com/synonyms/
This might come in handy.

“screened” is UK English for shielded…
