Hi I bought a WFS 210 but it doesn’t seem very good at all.
First off the refresh rate is maybe 1-2 times per second so its not continuous like a normal scope. Surely it isn’t meant to be like this??? This is the same over wifi on the ipad as it is on PC via usb or wifi. I noticed in the app it has a greyed out option to change the frame rate? It says the frame rate is ~50fps but yet the update rate is only 1-2 times per second.
The 2nd is that the ipad app is very buggy as take a few open and closes of the app to get connected.
How long till the software is at a decent level in which it can be used as an oscilloscope??
On a side not, I noticed no frequency measurement (it will only do frequency of markers??) and is it going to get FFT?
The slow refresh can be optimized by checking the WiFi networks around the WFS210 and check if no other WiFi-devices are broadcasting on the same channel as the wfs210. Also check the time-base how higher the time-base the slower the data comes in.
Please try only USB option on the PC application and make sure no devices are connected via WiFi. The speed should be much higher via USB. If not please send your device back for repair/inspection.
The 2nd is that the iPad app is very buggy as take a few open and closes of the app to get connected.
This does make me believe the wfs210 is not choosing a proper channel. It should connect immediately.
Yes only measurements via markers are available now. If there are more request for FFT we’ll consider to add it.
