Volume & Tone Control – Preamplifier. K8084 - IC position

I have just constructed one of your kits, the Volume & Tone Control – Preamplifier. K8084

The instructions show how to mount the IC sockets taking note of the notch on the socket. However, it is not clear which way round the integrated circuits are mounted in the sockets. It is not obvious from the ICs or the instructions which way round these go as there is no notch on the components themselves. Can you please advise me before I get it wrong?

There will be a notch or a dot.
The dot is pin 1 and should be mounted closest to the notch of the holder.
