VMA406 (VMA400) + Sprinkler Valves

Im thinking about irrigation system. So have a stupid question… Can I connect sprinkler valve via VMA406 (going to use VMA400 later)?

Sprinkler valve has the following in the spec: Voltage: 24 VAC 50/60 Hz

Would like to have raspberry pi + java as controller but the question for about connection between sprinkler valve and relay. Do I need to have extra components? How the scheme can looks like?
