is there any chance to modify (software for using the inbuilt port or soldering a new port) the module to play mp3 via USB?
That’d be awesome - so you can use SD or USB.
Maybe a HDD can be connected to the USB-port as well…
I’d like to build this module into a housing suitable to my HiFi-stereo at home.
But I also like to be a little bit more flexible with the storage.

I’m sorry, but the VM8095 is USB-client only.
It is not possible to connect two clients (VM8095 and HDD or USB Flash Drive) together.
USB host is not possible to implement using the current hardware of the VM8095.

that really is a pity.
There’s the VM202N, which can play via USB, but with no real controls and display like the VM8095.
And the VM8095 can’t play via USB… sigh
So the effort is to high to modify the VM8095…
Don’t you want to make a VM8095 with the possibility to play mp3 via SD and USB? <3<3<3
I’d buy it!
