I have a problem with the VM8095 board and found out that when more than one push buttons (A to G or external contacts) are pressed at the same time, this will damage the PIC processor and when this has happened, it does not react as before. Par example, pushing the A-key the player is not selecting the file in the A-directory, but the file in the C-directory. I had the same problems with the K8095 MP3 player kit (I am stocked with 5 defect units now) and was very happy with the new VM8095. The 7 external preset buttons connector was very promissing and just what I needed. Luckeley I had a second/spare VM8095-unit to try out. The external contacts are confugured in a contact pyramide now, making it impossible to switch the common-wire to more then one input at the same time. Now it works like it should be. I wonder if the same problem occures when pressing more then one front keys at the same time, but I cannot try this out, because I am affraid this wil kill my only working unit. Conclusion: My adaption to the problem will not solve the problem, it still remains.
The lack of a STOP key is solved by a 825mS silence file in directory G.
Question: Where can I order the required Mini USB PC connection cable?
