VM8090 : is it broken?

Hi,
I started to use my VM8090 for the first time. I put 12.5 VDC on the relay power. When the current on the power supply suddenly started to increase to 5 Amp, I shut it down immediately. Now, the relay contacts don’t seem to close and the current is less than 5 mA. Is it broken?

Difficult to tell what happened, without being able to examine your circuit.
Looks like there has been a short somewhere (e.g. in the rectifier section)
If desired, you can return your item for inspection/repair.
