I’ve got a Rasberry Pi 3B and i’ve been trying to execute the VM205 file. I’ve read all of the blogs and instructions about changing the permissions. When I try to execute the file from the GUI by double clicking it does nothing. Is there any restraints around what operating system this works on?
Hello @chetlo
Normally it works on Pi 3 or 4. With Raspberry Pi OS 32-bit version (Legacy) with desktop installed on the Pi 3 or 4.
For RPi 3, use this version of software:
Updated version 1.3: Modified to run on Raspberry Pi kernel version 4.9
link: https://cdn.velleman.eu/downloads/files/downloads/vm205_src_pi_rev13.zip?
For RPi4 use this version of software:
https://cdn.velleman.eu/downloads/files/downloads/vm205_rpi4.zip?
The manual instructions are for both the same to run the software.
Please note: The software for VM205 is not compatible for RPi 5 versions.
