VM201 - 10 Base-T port (10Mbps)

I’m intended to buy the VM201 Ethernet Relay Kit.
I would like to have 2 questions cleared up before I buy the kit:

  1. in the datasheet I found an entry “10 Base-T port (10Mbps) compatible”
    does that mean that it is ONLY 10 Base-T port compatible and NOT 100 Base-T port compatibe?
    (will my 100 Mbps LAN speed be reduced to 10Mbps)?
  2. Is the kit already assembled or have I to assemble it myself?

Modern switches will reduce speed on the port on which the VM201 is connected. This has no effect on the speed of other ports.
VM = Velleman MODULE = already assembled
