Hello,
I just bought a VM167 (mini usb interface) and it works great under WinXP. But now i want to get it to work under Linux (in this case UBUNTU 10.04. I cant use the DLL files.
Problem is I can’t find any Linux drivers on internet to deal with this device. In all the other kits from Velleman there was at least 1 (non Windows) driver available, but for this one I can’t find any drivers. Any ideas ???
Tnx Henk
Dear Velleman,
If this isn’t the case (drivers for the VM167 under Linux), then - is there a possibility to obtain the driver sources (under windows leading to the DLL’s) so that I can translate or at least try to compile it under Linux???
Greetings,
HaGeM
Yes, here is the link to download the source (Delphi) files:
box.net/shared/qnz04mu0p9t7had128vu
Thanks, I will soon test if it operates under Linux.
Henk
I came here intending to ask for protocol specifications for the VM167 but source code is just as good.
Will see about making it work on Linux asap
Sorry about this taking a while but life happened, full time job + finishing my degree.
I put up a sourceforge project to handle the driver and more, I have some old code for other (K8047) Velleman hardware and might as well touch that up and publish it.
If anyone at Velleman has issues with me writing Linux drivers for your hardware please contact me. Also if you need Linux drivers for more of you hardware I could make it happen in exchange for samples.
The code will be uploaded shortly once I get write access to the GIT host.
