VM148 Output is Not Functioning

Hi,

I got the VM148 to automatically controll the temperature in the AV cabinet to prevent overheat of the components inside the cabinet. I am using 12 VDC and 500 mA power supply for the module and fan. I am connecting fan to the output port. Module is configured for the cooling mode. The relay sounds like switching on and off on the preset temperature but for some reason the fan is not turning on. I tested the fan by conneting it directly to the power supply and it works fine.

Any idea why fan would not turn on?

Thanks!
Ustas.

Please note that there is no voltage coming out of this unit.

Thanks for the reply. I tried connecting the same way as shown on the image in the post you directed me to, but fan is still not turning on.

Then I must assume that the relay is defective, which is very unlikely.
Check with a multimeter if the relay contact is closed (between NO and COM) when the thermostat output is turned on.

I want to buy the VM148 an I’m planning on using it on my frog terrarium.
The plan is to heat is in the winter by switching an some heat lights en cooling it in the summer by switching an some fans.
My question is is can it do both or do I have to make an xtra switch summer/winter (heating/cooling) an reprogram the module for summer and winter

Thanx Sjuul

Unit can be switched from heating to cooling mode, however, there is only one output relay.
