VM130 wiring question

Hello

I have a VM130 unit in a car and wanted to use it to trigger the central locking system.
This requires a ground pulse, one for lock, another (on a different wire) for unlock. So I figured I would use channel 1 for lock, channel 2 for unlock. Simples yes, as the Meerkats would say

The question is, how to achieve this grounding action with the VM130, since the circuits connected to it’s relays will have no 12v load or anything to power, if that makes sense?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to make the VM130 provide a ground pulse in this manner without having something else in the circuit?

I would like to hear from anyone who has attempted such a thing!

Thank you.

Bob

Simple: connect the normal open contact to 12V ground and the “moving” contact to the input of your central locking system.
Do this for both relays/contacts (lock and unlock).

Thank you for a quick reply

I’ll give that a try later, it seems so obvious (that’s how ground pulse already works in the rest of the car afterall), but I completely missed the point for some reason and thought it wouldn’t work unless the circuit had some kind of load, I’m just being silly!

Thank you for steering me in the right direction

Ah, sometimes we always think too complicated that we miss the simple solutions

Good Luck!
