VM129 - Using a momentary action swith to control lighting

Hi,

I wish to use momentary action switches (normally open) to actuate the relays on the VM129 such that the outputs, which I intend to power domestic lighting circuits, latch on/off when the switch is pressed.

I however suspect that the relays effectively mimic the switches and hence my lights will only be on then my finger is on the switch so to speak.

I have achieved this before using the Velleman Kit (Domotika K8008). I require the control of 8 lighting circuits, so the VM129 option (should it work) would be much more cost effective (and requires no assembly).

If I cannot use the VM129, would the K8056 kit be a viable option?

Many thanks,

Tony

This is correct, there is no latching function on this card.

VELLEMAN,

Thanks for the quick reply,

Would the K8056 kit be a viable option? Or like the VM129 do the outputs mimic the state of the input switch (hence does not latch)

Many thanks,

Tony

No.
The K8056 only has the latching feature when used with the RS232 interface (PC control) or with the optional RF remote and RX433 RF receiver.

Thanks again.

Can you suggest a better solution than using several K8008 kits?

Tony

Use e.g. 2x VMB4RY
