VM122 - VM129 - VM110 Combination

Hello all,

Question to all the knowledgable out there!!!

I`m in progress of building a system to automate my lights using these modules. I like the idea of using a IR remote VM121 to switch lights on/off
but would like to also control them from my PC(touch screen media centre) using the VM110.

The question is can i wire both open collector outputs from the VM122 and VM110 into the inputs of the relay board VM110???
Will it cause any problems??? Will the modules clash or cause any malfunctions???

Open collectors can be put in parallel without any problem.

And last little question to anyone out there…

VM122 is a IR receiver, am i right to think it needs a direct line from the transmitter(VM121) to receive a signal?
If so can i have just the IR receiver separeted from the pcb (extended with wires) in another room so i can keep the vm122 in a cupboard out of site???

Yes, you can remove the receiver from the PCB.
