Vm110n

Hi all.

I have red trouhg many topics, but I have still questions.

 1. After programming the VM110N, is it possible to use it with external voltage and cutting it from the PC?
 2. The digital input is it 12v?
 3. What programs do you use for programming the VM110N?

Thanks
1. After programming the VM110N, is it possible to use it with external voltage and cutting it from the PC?
I’m sorry, this is not possible. The VM110N is a USB interface card for PC. The card can’t be run as a stand alone unit.
2. The digital input is it 12v?
The digital inputs have internal pull-up resistors to +5V. The simplest way to use the digital inputs is just to connect the digital input terminal to the GND terminal. This will “activate” this digital input. You can anyhow use external digital source to drive the digital inputs. The maximum input voltage to the digital inputs is 30V.
3. What programs do you use for programming the VM110N?
Example programs are written in:
Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition
Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition
Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
Microsoft Excel VBA
Borland Delphi 5
Borland C++Builder 6
Bloodshed Dev-C++

The VM110N firmware is fixed.
All the application programs run in PC.
The VM110N card just acts as an interface between external world and the software running in PC.

Thanks.

So you cant save something on the ships?
So you cant save something on the ships?
No.

what i´m trying to do is:

To controll my light in the ceiling with a program. So when i turm tem on then the first aktivates, the after 2 sec. the third and so on.
Or by another programm -> running light ant so on.
What would you propose? Is the another better module for this case?

Hi

what do you think about placing a microcontroller infront of the VM110N with battery or externer 12v?

This must work.
what do you think about placing a microcontroller infront of the VM110N with battery or externer 12v?
It is OK to control the digital inputs and read the digital outputs of the VM110N using an external microcontroller. But you need to have the PC connected via USB to the VM110N to get the card working.

Hi again.

Thanks alot for the help, but i haven´t found what i´m searching for. Please make a suggestion for a product.

What i need:

pushing the headlamp swith -> 12v input to ?? microcontroller using external 12v?? and usb or Lan programmed-> program activating -> aktivation relay (running light, delay from one relay to other, etc.) (closing 240v conduct ) ->turning on the light … maybe including a W-Lan or Lan connection and a programm swich button

maybe more input slots?

I hope you understand now.

Thanks
