I got here a VM100 kit ready to use! But the only transformer i got is a 35-0-35 (2X35V) 3A.
can i use this one or will the amp blow? By the way is there any modification that can be done to avoid the amp to burn while working with this transformer?
Will a cooler fan help to keep it cool and work with this tranformer?
One last question is it sweetable for guitar amp (using a pre amp)?
Sorry, this transformer is not suited.
Specs call for 25-30VAC so 30VAC is the absolute max. Stress beyond this level can cause early breakdown or undesired behaviour.
Unit is suited as guitar amp with appropriate pre-amp.
thanks a lot for the quick replay!
So there is no was i can use this 35-0-35 tranformer even if i use a resistors to “cut” down the power! OK! Anyway now i found a 22-0-22 tranformer on my spare parts box! So i have a 35-0-35 and a 22-0-22, none of them will fit? If i plug the 22-0-22 who many watts rms will it deliver with 4 OHM speaker?
thanks once again!
