VM 130 to turn on fuel burning heater

Hi all, I purchased a VM130 kit to remotely turn on the fuel burning heater in my Land Rover. The heater requires 12v to be applied to one wire in order to switch it on. I have tested it works by connecting the wire to the +ve terminal on the battery, with this connected it works fine.

I connected the VM130 to the battery with an inline fuse and ran a wire to the heater from the VM130. I set the VM130 to timer mode for 15 minutes, no matter what terminal on the relay I connect the wire from the heater to it will not switch on, if I short the wire to the +VE terminal of the VM130 it works fine. When I check the voltage from the relay there is no voltage on any terminal, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

The VM130 has dry contacts. Wich mean they don’t generate voltage/current they act just like a regular switch.
