We are a small group of a Portuguese school, Escola Secundária Almeida Garrett, trying to build a robot for a project.
Firstly, we bought two 12V engine and a 12V battery. However we are having some difficulties. The radar does not seem to work, because the digital output indicator led does not turn on. When we put an obstacle in front of the radar it changes nothing. But the other leds work perfectly.
Our idea was to equip our robot with the radar and when it detects the obstacle the radar should block one engine, so the robot would turn to the other way. But we can’t do that because the radar does not stop the engine. It always works and the robot does not turn over. We think it happens due to the fact that the digital output indicator led does not turn on.
We would like to know if there is a way to connect the device to the engine and the battery, so that it has the effect we pretend, described above.
