Vertical stripes on walls

i have changed the nozzle and i disassemble the printer head : only heater, nozzle and isolator guide.

from this moment i have small vertical waves or stripes on vertical wall, specially on the Y walls.

I had to slow the speed to a very small value to avoid this problem.

I verified if have tighten enough the screws on the two metal spacers on each side of the isolator guide, and no problem about that.

someone would have any suggestion to solve this issue?

Thanks for your replies.

Please post a picture of your print.

It sounds like you have developed “ringing”, which look like “echoes” of sharp features or corners because the printhead is moving fast enough to vibrate/resonate itself. Did you happen to lose/damage any of the black plastic collars that are used in mounting the two spacers holding the isolator? If not, you might have actually OVER-tightened those screws. The idea is to reduce the transmission of shock to the printhead cause by abrupt movements (without the printhead becoming loose and sloppy of course!).

You can also try to lower the Acceleration settings in the EEPROM.

My printer has also developed these ‘echos’ of features which is definitely something to do with vibration. Shows up on smooth vertical surfaces mostly, after the feature. Very annoying. Tried tightening various bolts but still have the issue.

Do you mean these black collars?

Ringing is indeed vibration of the printer head when making sudden directional changes. Check if the 4 screws that hold the brass bearings together are tight enough?
