a while ago I started a little project to make the Vertex Z-Stage more stable. So far it’s not bad I think, but at the moment I am stuck at the position of the new Endstop. So I thougth I ask here, maybe someone at this forum has a idea how to solve it.
So the question is, where would you put the Z-Endstop?
Either side should be fine, with the optical sensor on the underside of the top block and a ‘fin’ shape fixed to the bed that fits into the sensor slot to break the beam. If you want an adjustment for the zero position, the sensor should be on a sliding or screw-adjustable mount.
Hey,
thanks for your input, the screw adjustment is also my favorite. I’m adjusted the sensor just one time for the headbed in 1 year. So first I am gone use a paddle that is mounted on one of the linerar beaings and will be slideable (its this a real word?) to adjust the high. If that will be not enough I am going to upgrade for a screw adjustment.
