Vertex 3D printer K8400 nozzle do not heat

After completing assembling of all the pieces and entered all the commands correctly I found several problems: .

  1. “Preheat PLA” is not responding
  2. Do not preheat the nozzle.
  3. There is no voltage in the heater cartridge.
  4. It does not work the extruder

It also tells that It was not loaded the firmware.
It responds to all commands from the computer by “VERTEX 3D PRINTER” (Repetier hosting v.1.6).

So, using the program manual control the software is stuck on "heating extrusion”.

Thanks you in advance

Do you have any errors on the LCD screen like
Min temp error or Max temp error?
Do have the second print head on it?
If not you need to change the firmware.
The stock firmware is set for 2 heads.
With out the second print head (K8402)
You will get Min temp errors because it is expecting to get a reading from the 2 print head.

Follow the instructions in this link.
http://manuals.velleman.eu/article.php?id=31
You can get the firmware here
http://www.vellemanusa.com/support/downloads/?code=K8400
Pay attention to the instructions
Do not power the printer while changing the firmware.
Use Arduino software 1.0.6 or below.
You can download it here.

Thanks for the instructions
I’ve replaced the firmware using the 1-head one and everything is ok!

But using the new firmware (1-head) there’s a new problem: nozzle head detaches from the insulator because the temperature has loose Threading.
The temperature has risen because: failing to rise the temperature of head, I reduced fan speed to 40%.

So, I’ve got problems:

  1. where I can buy a new isolator, etc
  2. how to fix print head temperature rise

It’s hard to understand what you are saying
but it sounds like the thermistor is not correctly positioned
You will need to contact one of the Velleman distributors and ask if they will order it for you
