Velleman VM111

Hi

I am having all sorts of problems with my Velleman VM111 Pic Programmer.

I have used a usb to serial port connector and have been successful in reading my pic chip. Although I was not able to write with this. I then saw that the manual says that it is not compatible with this type of connector.

I then installed a piece of hardware to my PC which is a 2 port Native PCI Express RS232 Serial Card with 16550 UART. It now cannot detect that a pic controller is connected to the PC.

I am using PicProg 2009 software.

I am using Windows 7 (Is this compatible?)

I am using a 12v Unregulated

Can you suggest any reasons why I cannot get this to work??

Hello, Eddy12345 !

In the PICPROG 2009 hardware settings, it’s important to select VM 111/ K 8048 and

the correct COM-port number , that you are actually connected to.
