Velleman official Cura Slicer Settings

Hi, we just assembled the Velleman Vertex k8400 with dual heads, but we have come to an issue with our slicer configuration.

The Vertex 3D Printer Repetier-Host uses both Cura and Slic3r engines to slice the STL parts, but we wish to use standalone Cura Slicer so we could use it with various operating systems with the latest update versions; doing it with Cura would be the rational choice.

The Repetier allows expoting settings, but these settings are not directly compatible with Cura and painstaking hours of work with possible 3D printer damage are needed to translate these.

Is it possible to obtain official Cura engine settings for the Dual Head printer without the Repetier-Host?

If not, has anybody already done this painstaking task?

Who uses “desktop software” Repetier in the times of Rasperry Pi, Octoprint, Cura engine inside Rpi and above all - cross platform solutions, comfortable (W)LAN mobility across studio, and “print from your smartphone via webrowser in year 2015™”? :wink:
Dual head Vertex K8400 here (printing both with 1 and 2 nozzles). We need to feed in cura ini into barebone cura engine. It can be done - line by line looking what are the vertex single and dual head suggested values by the manufacturer (you - Velleman) in Repetier Cura… through GUI. Because, as mentioned above, the export from Repetier seems to f* things up/not work at all when trying to use exported file (even with cleanup).
Guys from Velleman - could you please share Cura engine ini for K8400 single / dual? IMHO, for you it would be a “quick task” as you know product/settings by heart and sharing this a) would be a nice support for the users of your product and b) would save us time/confussion. Win/win? :wink:

I also need this cura configuration for the Vertex because it is not in the AppData-foldern for some reason …

hi all,
in my care settings 15.04 there is something wrong, because after the gcode generated and copied to the memory … printing does not start but the vertex makes a strange noise.
Do you have any suggestions?

In the section “Print Head size” all settings are “0”

NOTE
Missing some settings, for example reversing the z-axis (on repeater host is present)

The start.gcode and end.gcode in the SINGLE.ini file above may cause some issues. I replaced every occasion of T1 with T0 (in start.gcode and end.gcode) and that made it possible to print without the second print head heating up etc.

For anyone finding this thread, I found an issue with Single head profile.

It didn’t seem to want to heat the extruder before starting the print.

So I copied the Start GCode and End Gcode into the profile and it seems to be working better now.
