I am doing a project which requires a Pic 12F683 . It is a PWM for DC motor controller.
Type listings in the assembley software MPASMWIN give the 12F683 , so no problem there.
However. In PROPIC2 , the 12F683 is not shown in the listing .
It states in my project notes that the project will not work using 12F629 or 12F675.
Is it possible to program the 12F683 by simply typing in 12F683 into the window of the programmer
Can you please advise my coarse of action.

Dear sir,
Our programmers are made for educational only, they can program only a selected part of the microchip PIC range.
You can download the latest version of PICprog at the VM111 product page.
If you need other PIC type you can use our PICKIT2 programmer (PICKIT3 in the near future).
Many thanks for your reply.
I will down load the latest version of picprog . Am i right in assuming that by downloading to my Velleman folder K8084 , I can opt to use this version , to program the 12f683.
Thank you again the Velleman team.
You are right. PicProg2009 version 3.0.0.5 has the 12F683 is its selection list. The software is also available from the K8048 support page, http://www.velleman.eu/support/downloads/?code=K8048.
