Using K8098 with portable shortwave radio

I’m interested in building a K8098 to use on the line-out of a portable shortwave radio (actually a Tecsun PL-880)

I don’t know that much detail of audio electronics. Can the K8098 be plugged in directly to the Line-Out of the radio (this is separate from the headphone socket, it’s a genuine Line-Out). Do I need an amplifier. I did see a circuit that used two 10K resistors.

I don’t want to do any damage to the radio.

It is not a problem to connect the K8098 direct to a line out of a radio.
