Use K8061/VM140 via PIC-based controller

Hello everyone,
Does someone know it is possible to controll the K8061/VM140 by means of a PIC-based microsystem? Normally the K8061/VM140 is used by means of the appropiate DLL in Windows. A PIC-based controller does not have a DLL obviously but should be able to generate the commands which are necessary to controll the K8061/VM140. Who knows? Thanks!

Instead of using a separate PIC microcontroller as an USB host there may be easier way to get the K8061 board running as a “stand alone” controller.
One idea may be to replace the “host” microcontroller IC3 with a stand alone controller reading the data from the analog and digital inputs of the card. It may then process the data and finally send it to the analog and digital outputs of the card.
The communication between the IC3 and the “slave” IC6 is normal serial communication at 125000 baud rate.

No USB connection needed.

Just +5V needed to the isolated section (IC3) of the card.
