USB issue

I recently purchased a TTL-232r-5V cable which uses the FTDI232r chip. I am having issues, where upon running the PCLAB2000SE software, it cannot find the scope on the USB port. I am prompted the the “GetFTDeviceSerialno - Invalid Handle.” window repeatedly.

I assume the since the PSCU1000 uses the same usb chip, the software is confused to who is plugged in. The behavior seems to occur when the TTL-232r cable is communicating. If i stop my software (Labview), then launch the PCLab2000SE, it then finds the scope sometimes. I sometimes have to unplug the scope and then rerun the PCLAB2000.

I am not well versed in USB, but i can see both the scope and the TTL-232 cable if i run the FProg software from FTDI. The Vendor and Product ID are different.

I have version 4.04 of PCLAB2000. Any ideas?

Unfortunately I couldn’t reproduce the issue you described.
Anyhow: Here is the link to download slightly modified version 4.04 of the PCLab2000SE software:

In this version the error message is suppressed.
I hope this solves the problem.

More of an annoyance than a problem. Ill try the update to suppress the error message.
If i known you were going modify the software, i would have had you add a few buttons!
It would be great if they could be added configurable.

Thank you for the feedback.
Indeed, the buttons are much easier to use than the menus!
The modifications you suggested will soon be taken in consideration to be added to the next update.
