Touch Screen Kit K8046

Hi
I just finished soldering the touch sreen Kit K8046. Then I made the test according to the manual an page 23.
I supplied the 12 VDC/600mA out of a plugadapter. Now the backlight LED’s lit, the power LED lits but the relay does not “click”.
Also the test for each key does not work. The red key LED’s do not lit.
I checked the PCB to shortcuts, solder-briges, without success. I brushed snd washed soldering side as well
Where could be the mistake?

Anyone has an idea.

Most likely the controller is not working.
Check solderings, pins, make sure +5V arrives (see diagram in manual).

Hi

On IC1 i have +5V on Pin 1 and 2 and as well on all other places where +5 V is needed.
An the relay I have the 12 VDC.

If this is the case and you are positive that there are no assembly mistakes, then we must conclude that there is a problem with the PIC.
Unlikely but possible.
We can offer inspection/exchange if you return the PIC to:

Hi

instead of shipping the print back to you would there be a possibility just to send a new IC1 to my adress?

If not, do you need both prints, basic print and keyboard print?

Sorry, no sales.
Please return IC for inspection/repair.
If you return the kit, please return complete kit, but not the touch screen (fragile).

Hi to the support team

Last week I got back the new programmed IC and all worked out as it should.
The relays was clicking and the LED were blinking.
And finally the programmed test was sucessfully.

I am so sorry

but I broked the glass of my touch screnn last week. I put somthing heavier on it and nos is broken.

Where could I order and buy a new piece?

On Velleman Homepage there is mentioned “No spare parts found”.

May somebody help me?
