I’m trying to print a type of rod and for reasons it must be printed standing up. This gives me a problem with the amount of heat that the hotend/filament give to the rod since it is always “in the same spot”, within about dia 8mm.
I have been out of the 3D printing world for a while so I am not fully up to speed yet, however I think I remember there is a g.code command that sets a minimum time for each layer to avoid the heating problem when printing small objects. Can someone confirm this ?
Any other trick to avoid this problem?

Not a G code but a slicer setting. I don’t know what slicer you are using but search under thermal settings and you’ll find it.
Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll try that.
