Having assembled my MK188, the pulse is not korrekt, and the pulse ajustment nob are not virking. However if i add a small led bulp over the inlet terminals to the relay, everything virks perfekt again. Can anyone help me with a klue to what is causing this.
Most likely an assembly problem.
Sorry, this forum does not allow picture uploads
If you can provide LINKS (e.g. by using a free online picture base) to HI-RES and SHARP pics of your assembly (both solder- and component side)
then we can take a look and provide some feedback.
Sorry to say, but the soldering looks rather poor. Many joints need rework and we hope you did not damage any tracks or pads.
Is the resistor array correctly oriented, we cannot tell from the picture?
What is the power consumption of the led bulb? Make sure it does not exceed 150mA.
The resistor array are correctly oriented. One should think that, if the bulp is flashing at correct intervals, the relay should also close at correct intervals, leading to the conclusion that the relay is the problem?
A shortcercuit when the relay close could explain why the ajustment are not working?. That also works when the bulp is in place, and the relay is not.
Please try removing the relay and power it externally with a 12VDC source.
If it does not click, then we have to assume it is defective. Unlikely but possible.
One more thing: is T1 mounted the correct way round?
Very strange.
Sorry, we do not seem to be able to solve this problem from a distance.
If you wish, you can return your kit for inspection to your distributor or direct to:
